Support, Facilities & Testimonials

A positive student experience is at the forefront of everything we do at Northumbria and both the Amsterdam-based team and Northumbria Students' Union are here to ensure you feel supported throughout your time with us.

Studying at the Northumbria University Amsterdam Campus is a unique experience providing you access to facilities and support from both Northumbria University and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), where we are based.

We have a dedicated Amsterdam Operations Team based in Amsterdam to support you in any way they can; from employability tips and CV workshops to on-the-ground counselling, mental health and dyslexia and disability teams, you will never be short of help should you need it.

Additionally, Northumbria Students' Union (NSU) visits Amsterdam each term to organise events and activities throughout the year so be sure to regularly check out the website for all the latest information. Be sure to also check out NSU's Amsterdam Essential Student Guide (2022/23) for more information on your SAAB Team and how NSU works in Amsterdam.

STUDENT TESTIMONIALS  /  WHAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY

We understand how important it is to learn more about the student experience in Amsterdam, which is why we asked our alumni to talk about their programmes and why they chose to study at the Amsterdam Campus.

If you're a current or past Amsterdam student and would like to share your views then please e-mail us at bc.international.marketing@northumbria.ac.uk.

Edward Clayton
MSc Business with International Management (Amsterdam)

After obtaining a first class honours degree from Northumbria University, I decided to undertake the brand-new MSc in Business with International Management at Northumbria's Amsterdam Campus. From learning the ins and outs of what it took to be a international manager in today's world at a bachelor level, I thought I would continue my learning of the subject in a truly international way. The teaching I received in Amsterdam has been second to none, and it has opened up opportunities that I never thought possible. I feel strongly that the skills I have learnt whilst at Northumbria have enabled me to gain a fantastic graduate job at the FTSE 100 company, Taylor Wimpey

Matthew Hall
MSc Project Management (Amsterdam)

Choosing to study at Northumbria University is easily a decision I would make over and over again. I started studying right after graduating from my bachelor’s degree at AUAS, forgoing the need for a pre-master. While studying the MSc Project Management programme in Northumbria’s Amsterdam Campus, I learnt the essential frameworks of managing projects from a variety of different, highly educated lectures whilst also studying with a diverse group of classmates. The combination of the education, the location, and social life (in the form of an active student society) have made studying at Northumbria an absolute pleasure. The skills that I have learnt have helped me improve my daily work life already, increasing my over efficiency and value as an employee. I even enjoy managing projects now.
