Volunteer Street GamesMore than 100 volunteering opportunities exist including: Coaching, Events, Marketing, Media, Facilities, Performance Sport, International roles. Each opportunity helps you to develop a professional approach, think about your future and make a difference!

Leadership Bursaries

Get qualified and take advantage of the Northumbria Sport Leadership Bursary. If you are a Northumbria Sport volunteer, you can apply for a maximum of 50% towards nationally recognised sports coaching and leadership qualifications. More >

Internships

We also offer a number of part time internships to current students. Usually doing 6-8 hours per week along academic commitments these opportunities build on the experiences gained through volunteering and help give insight into a range of sport related industries. More>

Northumbria Sport offers a range of paid internships that students on any degree course can apply for.

Open Days are a great way for you to get a feel of the University, the city of Newcastle upon Tyne and the course(s) you are interested in.
