Saad AlHermi

I am a young ambitious professional working as a Customer Project Manager for Ericsson AB in their Bahrain office. I always wanted to follow a hybrid career in information technology and technical project management as a first choice. After graduating I have further enhanced my career by obtaining my professional certificate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute in the USA with this having helped me achieve my current role and aid my future development plans.

What are you doing now?

I work as a Customer Project Manager at Ericsson AB managing my customer telecom projects.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals / give your career an edge?

The interaction with different cultures and people from different backgrounds, the way the course was designed and tailored, the modules and courses attended: all this blended in a way that made me who I am now.

What was the best thing about your course?

The flexibility and fruitfulness of the course.

Who inspired you the most, and why?

My mentor for the graduation project. He was very supportive, aided me with guidance and knowledge to achieve the project.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now/throughout your career?

Managing projects, handling pressure, multi-tasking and discipline.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

My colleagues and overall studying experience.

What advice would you give somebody who is thinking of studying at Northumbria?

Go for it. I had the opportunity to attend any university in the UK but I chose Northumbria because it has a very good ranking and reputation for being one of the most esteemed universities in the UK.
